
KHWAI COMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRUST ( MAGOTHO )
Magotho campground is located some 20 km east of Khwai village along the main to Savuti and Moremi game reserve. The name Magotho derives from the local word of Acacia Eroloba ( Camel Thorn) these giants grow in abundance in the area and provide shade for many different animals and campers. Elephants frequently wander quietly through the campsites, an opportunity for visitors to enjoy these majesty creatures, this is a unique opportunity to be up close and personal. Visitors are advised to treat these animals with respect they can be potentially dangerous especially bulls when they are in heat.
